Methyl tin Mercaptide

It is a tin based stabilizer for use in PVC compounding where transparency is desired in the end product especially in food contact applications such as, food wrap, PVC container with high transparency, profiles and pipes. It provides good initial color and excellent dynamic processing stability.

• SAK-MT9002 is a liquid methyl tin mercaptide heat stabiliser for processing PVC. Its use in food contact applications is sanctioned under FDA CFR Title 21 part 178.2010 as an antioxidant and/or stabilizer in polymers, when used according to the provisions given by FDA regulation.
• SAK-MT 9002 is suitable for food wrap, PVC container and high transparency articles. PVC pipes and fittings as well as profiles are also recommended.
• It provides good initial colour as well as excellent dynamic processing stability.

0.5 – 2.0phr is recommended depending on the formulation and machine conditions. Mixing temperature between 110°C – 130°C is recommended.
